Parish Council Meetings

MEETINGS

All Council meetings are public meetings, with their agenda published on our Notice boards three clear days before the meeting. The public is invited to make representation at the beginning of each meeting.

FULL COUNCIL MEETING

These are held at the Chilworth Church of England Infants School every month. Decisions can only be made on agenda items. If any member of the public wishes for an item to be included on the Agenda, then he/she should contact the clerk, at least one week before the meeting.

ANNUAL MEETING OF ST MARTHA PARISH COUNCIL

The administrative year starts in May with the Annual meeting of the Parish Council, when appointments are made of Councillors to positions of responsibility within the Council. The Chairman and Vice- Chairman are elected, and members are assigned to its various Committees.

This is a statutory meeting, arranged by the Parish Council, for the electors of the parish to meet to discuss issues of interest within the parish. There is no prearranged or published agenda, and may or may not be Chaired by the Chairman of the Parish Council. Minutes are taken and presented and approved at the meeting next year. No decisions will be binding on the Council, but issues raised may be referred to a Council meeting for consideration. The meeting must take place between 1st March and the 1st June.
